Struggling to make any sort of income from your affiliate marketing efforts? Feeling like a failure?
You are not the first and definitely not the last, most people are lured onto the internet looking to make money and are sucked in by promises of overnight riches and hype filled sales pages that just scream waste of time.
It is easy to feel worthless when you are putting in many hours to make it work and it would seem like you are getting nowhere fast, affiliate marketing can be a tough business for those that make it that way and when I say those that make it that way I mean the people who unfortunately are not shown how to go about things so in the choices they make they are inadvertently pushing their business down the wrong path and before long it becomes a struggle.
The choices you make in your affiliate marketing business are going to ultimately decide your success or lack thereof.
The biggest problem I see is people choosing to follow the herd. Promoting products that every man and his dog are also promoting is not a good idea for fresh faced affiliate marketers. Although I do not advise against any market for anyone, what I do suggest when just getting started is to look into niche markets, which are smaller sections of a market.
Like a sub-market category.
Doing this helps you to drill down into the less competitive areas and gives you much more freedom and market share. For example, if you were to focus on making sales in the weight loss industry you would find it very difficult to make any progress because of the mountain of authority sites that are already dominating the search engines, but if you were to focus on a more niche section of the weight loss industry say like weight loss after pregnancy then you soon find that the competition is much less and you are free to take your action.
Be more specific when picking a market to promote, do not follow the herd and take the time to carefully craft your work so that it captures the attention of those people in your select niche market.
