Sure there are some mild panic attack symptoms which can be frightening, but when you are dealing with the severe panic attack symptoms, those are really the worst of the worst. These are the symptoms which can really leave the person feeling as though they are just wiped out, and sometimes even as though they are going to die.
There are actually a few different severe panic attack symptoms that a person can experience, and a few of the most severe will be talked about here in more detail.
Severe Symptoms
One of the most severe panic attack symptoms is a tightening of the chest. This feeling can often be so intense that the person believes they are having a heart attack, and often leaves them feeling as though they are seriously in danger and they call 911. It is pretty astounding what the mind can believe is happening due to the symptoms and how similar they are to something like a heart attack or stroke.
Keep in mind that panic attacks reach maximum intensity within a minute or two after they have begun, and so while in reality they are really not all that long, to the sufferer it can feel endless. It is also often common for the first attack to cause the person to go to an emergency medical facility, and so if this happens to you, at least you know that you are not the only one who has had the same outcome.
Once you realize what you are dealing with, it is much easier to tell the severe panic attack symptoms, and often even recognize before a panic attack has even come on.
Dealing With the Issue
If you have severe panic attack symptoms, then you are considered as having panic disorder. This means that you are going to need to talk to your doctor or another professional and get the information that is going to be important to you here. This is the only way that you are ever going to be able to really understand what you are dealing with here and what you can do to get better.
You should have someone that you can trust who you can talk to and who is going to be there for you and be able to offer you the support that you so desperately need right now. You need friends and family who are going to be there for you.
