Learn How to Play Guitar in 90 Days Or Less - Skills & Dozens of Songs - Free Crash Course, it Works
Like thousands of other people, I'd really like to be able to play guitar. Visit Here http://newmoviesong.blogspot.com
Guitar Hero is fun, but I want to play for real. When I'm in the car, I start playing along with my favorite songs. If I see a guitarist on TV or at a show, I try to watch to see what they're doing.
I tried lessons a couple of times. Gave them a real shot - at least 6 months each time, but there were a bunch of problems.
First, they were expensive. Anywhere from $90 to 150 a month.
Next, they were too short. My lessons were typically 30 minutes a week. Sure, I could have gone longer but then the price would have gone up. 30 minutes flies. It always felt rushed. Just as I felt like we were starting to get somewhere, the next student would be knocking on the door. Getting the lessons on THEIR schedule was a pain too. What if I had a question during the week or needed a refresher? I'd have to wait until my next lesson and basically burn a week.
Another problem with lessons is that my instructors never seemed to understand my goals or my taste in music. I'm sure that there are good instructors out there who really listen to their students, but mine didn't. They were all over the map. Teaching me different styles, theory and songs from THEY're favorite genres.
Finally, I didn't see the kind of progress that I had hoped for fast enough. It's probably because of the last two reasons. My goals were to learn basic guitar playing skills, play some songs that I like, improvise a bit and figure out how to play by ear a little. I actually lasted a lot longer than I thought I would each time.
What I REALLY needed was a crash course in guitar playing. Am I ever going to play professionally? No. Will I ever play in a band? Seriously doubt it. Do I want to jam with friends? Possibly. Would I like to blow off steam by cranking up my amp at home and playing alone? Definitely.
So I set out to find a better solution. A way to play what I wanted to play.
I checked out DVDs. They'd take care of some of the issues, but not all of them. Books. How can you learn to play guitar from a book?! Websites. Now it started to get interesting... There are lot's of great benefits of learning guitar from a website. You can have videos and text, so it's kind of like the best of DVDs and books. The problem with most guitar lesson websites that I found is that they either fall into specific niches - like 'learn to play blues guitar' - or they were spread too thin and tried to cover all types of guitar playing.
Fortunately, there is a HUGE amount of excellent quality guitar lesson videos available online. Just search for 'learn guitar' on YouTube. The challenge is in finding what you need which depends on your skill level, the style of playing that you're interested in, the skills you want to learn and other factors. Another problem is that there is a lot of garbage out there.
Set a goal for yourself. Mine was to play guitar in 90 days. That meant:
* playing at least a dozen songs that I like (solos and rhythm)
* being able to jam / improvise along with songs
* and being able to pick up new songs and play by ear
With your goal in mind, here are some tips to find the best free online guitar lessons:
1) Go for the basics. There were several core skills that will be required to check each of these off my list. Use searches like "learn guitar basics", "guitar scales" or "strumming techniques" to find the right set
2) Don't watch them all! Like I said, there's a lot of garbage out there. You'll spot the good ones pretty quick. When you do, look for more by the same user. Create bookmarks for yourself.
3) Mix it up. Don't limit yourself to just skills training. For most people, it's okay to play scales, but it's more fun to play songs (and even more fun to improvise along with your favorite songs!) By mixing songs in with skills you'll stay motivated and play more. Try searching for the names of some bands or songs that you like. Odds are you'll find a video that will teach you how to play it. Again, not all videos are created equal!! Try a few to find the one that sounds best to you and provides the best 'teacher'. Learning power chords is also a great way for a lot of people to stay motivated because they give you a fast and easy way to really sound like you're playing.
4) Stick with it. You're probably not going to learn overnight (although you can definitely make progress). But, you really can learn to play guitar in 90 days or less. If you want to keep going and get even better that's up to you. The best way to stick with it is to follow the advice in #3. Continually add songs so you don't get bored. But keep playing the old ones so that you get better at them. When you see yourself progressing it's really motivational and will keep you going.Visit Here http://newmoviesong.blogspot.com
