Chris Crocker - Leave Britney Alone by Patrick Rafferty

What he does is gets in front of a web cam and talks about love, or whatever else pops into his head. For some reason, people love him. He is not especially smart, not especially wise. So what’s the fascination? I’m still trying to figure that one out.

It’s been all over the news. Chris Crockers “Leave Britney Alone” video. I’m sure you’ve seen all the hype over this character, the new drag queen star of YouTube made famous by crying over the Paparazzi’s treatment of Britney Spears. He’s actually been quite popular, turning up on the top ten most watched videos on YouTube for a while now.

Why? I don’t know.

If that’s not bad enough, he has just signed a deal for a reality show. Soon he’ll be invading your living room through your television set. He’ll be crying about something every week. And he will become a role model for our children, just like Britney, Paris Hilton, and the rest of the bad girls.

I have personally never sat through one of his entire videos until the Britney Spears one. All I could do is laugh, shake my head and move on with my life and hope I never have to see it again. You have to wonder what this guy is on or at least what he should be on. For some reason, I can’t see his popularity as anything more then a sign of the decline in the quality of humanity. I also can’t see him being able to handle fame. If he’s going to crack over Britney’s what’s will he be like when the paparazzi starts targeting him?

To each his own.
