Internet marketing and automatic responder essentially go hand-in-hand. In today’s online business world, you simply cannot succeed at your internet marketing business if you do not use an automatic responder system. Automatic responder are instrumental to many of the marketing tasks that are important to a successful online business.
Internet marketing can be very time consuming. Whether you do affiliate marketing or market your own products, an automatic responder system is a big part of your marketing arsenal. Automatic responder are used to keep you in contact with your past customers, and to develop a relationship with potential customers.
If you are an online business owner, you can use an automatic responder system to deliver sales messages to your opt-in customer list. It can be used to deliver email courses, to send reminders, and even to help you build an opt-in list if you don’t already have one. There are many creative ways you can use your automatic responder to make more sales and to build customer relations.
An automatic responder is, thus, a wonderful online marketing system, which can be used for a variety of things. However, there are several ways that automatic responder should not be used. Using automatic responder in an irresponsible manner will not only make things difficult for other people, but it could also make things really bad for you!
How can this happen?
Having one automatic responder respond to another automatic responder creates chaos, and in some cases, it can even overload servers. This happens when you sign up for something, and use your automatic responder email address as your own address. You sign up, and a message is sent to someone else’s automatic responder, which responds to your automatic responder, which responds to that automatic responder – and this continues on and on until it is manually stopped and straightened out.
Some people use their automatic responder address on purpose when they sign up for discussion lists. In effect, this causes their automatic responder message to be sent to all their customers on their list, each time a person sends a real message to the discussion list. Needless to say, discussion list members and owners frown on this practice, and the automatic responder owner gets banned.
Avoid these problems and use your automatic responder responsibly in ways that it was meant to be used. As an online business owner, you should not use your automatic responder irresponsibly. Not only will you create problems for others, but you may find that you get reported for spam.
Any successful marketer will tell you that there are two tools that are vital to any type of online marketing business – an opt-in list and an automatic responder system. In fact, most marketers will agree that you could take away all of their other marketing tools, but they would fight to the death to keep the list and the automatic responder!
