Baby Monitors - Helping you Keep a Protective Watch on Your Babies by Dennis Jaylon

Nothing is more precious to a mother than her child. The relationship between a mother and her baby is one that is held in the highest esteem and is most respected. A mother would never want to let her baby out of her sight for even a moment, and she tries to keep a watchful and protective eye over her infant at all times. Infants especially require full time and unwavering attention from their mothers in order to avoid any untoward incident or mishap, because they are the most delicate at that point of time. Baby monitors help mothers keep a protective eye on their babies even when they are not next to them.

The fact is that how much ever a mother wants to be next to her child, it is practically not possible for her to be next to him all the 24 hours in a day. She may have other responsibilities and duties too, which require her attention during the span of the day. These duties may include household chores like cleaning and cooking, going out to shop for groceries and other necessities, as well as looking after her other children, if any. Baby monitors help the mother, in fact even the father, and others who are caring for the baby keep a vigilant eye on the infant, even when they are not around.

But what exactly is a baby monitor? It is basically a device that receives and transmits sounds and images. The device has two parts, one that is placed next to the baby and the other part is carried by the mother or whoever is taking care of the baby. Some baby monitors are only audio-based in nature, while others are audio-visual. The mother can hear whether the baby is sleeping, playing or crying, and can even view (in audio-visual monitors) if the baby is crawling on the floor or has reached the edge of the cot.

Baby monitors help mothers perform their duties better and enable them to multi-task without having to feel guilty about not catering to the needs of their baby on time.
