Cheap Red Sox Tickets
Despite what may appear to be true, being a fan of the Boston Red Sox does have its drawbacks. For starters, Fenway Park is one of the smaller home ballparks in Major League Baseball, thus making the process of acquiring tickets for any given game that much more difficult. Because their is such limited seating available, Red Sox tickets are among the most expensive in all of professional sports. However, thanks to a few options, getting reasonably priced Red Sox tickets isn't as difficult as it used to be.
One of the more popular options right now is
StubHub.com. The online marketplace, started in 2000, allows both buyers and sellers to search for tickets, depending on if they have tickets or want tickets. StubHub does take a small commision fee from both the seller and the buyer, but that is a price most are willing to pay. It has become the go-to merchant for hard to find seats. StubHub is owned by eBay, which is the next option discussed in this article.
eBay may be one of the eldest options to buy tickets, but that isn't to suggest it has lost its attractiveness. eBay allows sellers to post Red Sox tickets from anywhere in the country and is the only reputable option where a true buyer's market is in place. While there is a growing percentage of Red Sox ticket sales on eBay that are using the Buy It Now/Best Offer option, there remains a large number of Red Sox ticket options that start at $.99 and allow bidders to set the price for the tickets. eBay is a great option for those Red Sox ticket buyers who want the chance of perhaps finding less expensive tickets than regular brokers.
Another increasingly popular option to buy relatively inexpensive Red Sox tickets is Craigslist. The popularity of the website has surely gained popularity because of the simplicity that it offers. Craigslist is a website full of 100% free advertisements. It provides a forum for sellers to sell their Red Sox tickets at reasonable prices, in part because of the fact that they (the sellers) incur absolutely zero seller's fees or associated costs when selling on Craigslist. Another positive aspect of Craigslist for buyers is the accessibility of the products that they buy. Instead of buying tickets on eBay at least a week or so in advance of the Red Sox game in question, buyers can go on Craigslist even the morning of a game, contact the seller, coordinate a meetup and have the tickets in hand within hours, in time for the game.
The last option to be discussed is
Ace Ticket. Ace Ticket, which was announced in May 2008 as the official ticket resller of the Boston Red Sox, is one of the most well-known options to buy inexpensive Red Sox tickets. There is a huge selection of Red Sox tickets on their website at reasonable prices. Buyers can view the tickets online knowing that Ace Ticket is affiliated with the Boston Red Sox themselves. Furthermore, Ace Ticket has 5 locations in the Boston area for those who prefer to process transactions in person, rather than over the internet.
While Red Sox tickets, for the most part, remain undeniably high, there are many options for ticket buyers who are looking to save a couple of bucks in the process. With StubHub, eBay, Craigslist and Ace Ticket, buyers have alternatives to buying tickets directly through the Red Sox. Not only will these buyers be able to find tickets that likely are sold out in other places, but they'll probably even be able to save some money as well.
