In the matchup of a team that cannot score and one that cannot defend, it is never good to be the team that does not defend.
Help an NBA team enough, even one struggling as greatly as the Milwaukee Bucks had been, and it will score. It will still defend. And it will usually win.

Scola finally made a free throw with 1:21 remaining, and the Bucks turned it over again, but Martin missed a jumper with 58.9 seconds left, and the Bucks no longer had to make shots.

Lowry, however, kept the faint hopes alive. He hit a quick 3-pointer to cut the lead to five and after Brandon Jennings made one of two free throws, Lowry swished another 3, cutting the Milwaukee lead to 94-91 with 23.4 seconds remaining.
Sent back to the line, Jennings missed his first free throw, but made the second for a four-point Milwaukee lead with 21.3 seconds left. Brad Miller's missed 3 ended the Rockets' chances, but they knew that was not the end of the floor that was to blame.
