Exercises to Jump Higher - Get Results Now!

If you are involved in gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, or similar other sports, there is little you can do to improve your game more than training yourself to jump higher. Exercises and training programs exist that can improve your jumps, but common belief is that eventually, every athlete hits a limit where they simply can't go any further.

The reality is that while the human body does have limits, it is also designed to break those limits. The limits on most athletes are as much limits of training as limits on ability. Just because an athlete has been jumping at the same height for months, or years, doesn't mean he can't jump higher. Exercises all have limited amount of benefit, and while some have a large enough benefit to use successfully for years, eventually they are all going to reach their maximum return.

Now, that isn't to say that there aren't points that the body can't pass. The structural limits of bone and muscle put a maximum weight that can be lifted, no matter what the training. And the length of a stride, and lung capacity, eventually put a maximum limit on running. However, the maximum limits of the body are so high, that unless you're an Olympic athlete, it is impossibly unlikely that you have reached your body's limit, no matter how long you've been stuck on the same plateau.

If you are ready to take the next step, and break out of the rut you are in, what you need to do is change up your exercise program, and find one that is designed to maximize your workouts, and your body's potential so you can jump higher. Exercises are an obvious part of any work out, but there are other things to check out as well.

Diet--

The right changes in your diet can make a big difference. The wrong diet slows you, and weighs your body down. The right diet gives you speed, and your muscles bounce.

Downtime--

If you haven't heard it before, you should have. Muscle increase happens between workouts, not during. So if you don't have enough downtime between training, you won't see the results you need.

Safety--

It can be tempting to push yourself just a little bit further to get that extra inch of height. Make sure you use a training program that includes advice on how to tell when you are pushing too hard. There are few things worse then injuring yourself out permanently right when you're getting the results you've always wanted.
