One of the unfortunate things about the holiday season is, it's a time of year when lots of relationships come to an end. You would not think that it would be this way, but it is. Amidst all of the holiday cheer, people are breaking up. Breaking up at any time during the year can be a terrible thing, but during the holidays, it's the worst.

1. Do NOT let the breakup make you forget about all of the other good things that are happening.
Depressed ex boyfriends are not exactly the biggest turn on for a woman, so you need to really take in all of the good things that are going on this time of year and feel good. If you do get the chance to be around your ex girlfriend, the last thing that you want her to see is you down in the dumps. If she does, she is going to avoid you, trust me.
2. Start off trying to get her back on the slow side.
While most guys want to get a girlfriend back as fast as possible, sometimes the best thing that you can do is to take it on the slow side. Why? Because there are a lot of things going on this time of year, and if you come across as being someone who is just going to make things a lot more complicated for her, she's going to avoid you for that as well.
3. Hang out with her in a group setting.
Asking your ex girlfriend out on a date is not always the best idea, even if it does seem like there is still a vibe there between you and her. Getting her in a group setting, like taking her to a holiday party can be a good way to bypass the whole date thing, while still getting to take her out somewhere. And then, if she has a good time with you at the party, you can escalate once it is over.
