Think About Camping Toilets Before Buying
Before you rush out and buy a camping toilet, it's worth considering what it is you are looking for. You may think that this sounds rather obvious. After all, you are clearly looking for a toilet that can be used on camping trips.
But it's not quite as stupid as it first seems. Many people fail to realise that there are numerous portable toilet options available. Different models will offer differing functionality. That helps to explain why they also vary considerably when it comes to price.
So what should you be considering before making a purchase? You really do need to think about why you are buying a camping toilet. You're probably fed up with using the facilities that are provided at many campsites. You may well want something that's going to provide a much more hygienic situation.
This is understandable, but you also need to think about how often you will be using the toilet, how much you wish to spend and how compact you need the toilet to be.
In particular, consider how frequently you currently go on camping trips. If such trips are very irregular occurrences then you may wish to spend a small amount on your toilet. If, on the other hand, you spend a lot of time camping then you'll probably want a camping toilet with a higher specification.
Much of this will depend upon your budget. It is perfectly possible to buy a portable toilets for a reasonable amount. But you will often find that you do get a lot of the added functionality by spending a bit more. When you're looking at chemical toilets, as an example, it's worth bearing in mind that the more expensive models will often have a larger capacity.
But do you really want a large toilet? Not necessarily, particularly if you struggle for space when packing your car. This helps to explain why quite a few consumers seem to be opting for folding camping toilets.
Think about your own requirements before you actually make a purchase.
