The latest Cadillac Sedans to arrive on the scene are a great deal better than they were in the past. The previous Cadillac STS's were simply excessively large and hulking. Thankfully, the 2010 STS is an excellent illustration of how truly pleasant the new Cadillac sedans have become. This STS has a slightly more elongated wheelbase than the DTS, even though the DTS is longer and wider in general. The 2010 model of the STS is reminiscent of any Cadillac due to its expense, but you get a very nice sedan for your money. The base price of the STS starts at $46,845 and usually peaks at about $73,295 if you want to get the V-8 engine functioning with all the add-ons.
Essentially, there are two different models of the 2010 Cadillac STS. The V-6 model and the V-8 model offer slightly different options. The V-6 version of the STS includes a 3.6 liter Direct Injection engine in the company of Variable Valve Timing that creates a 302 horsepower at 6300 rpm. The STS V-8 has a 4.6 liter Northstar V-8 with the same Variable Valve Timing that produces a powerful 320 horsepower at 6400 RPM. Mutually both STS models are rear wheel drive and have the wheel drive optional with 2 speed toehold power combined brake and engine interference. Both include the potent Hydramatic 6L-50 six speed automatic transmission together with a performance variable and Driver Shift power.
The brakes included on the 2010 Cadillac STS are four wheel disc brakes that have a handy anti-lock braking structure along with brake assist. The STS also features Stabilitrak. This feature is a CPU powered 4 channel electronic solidity power systems. The Cadillac STS features the newest airbags in addition to an auto-dimming interior mirror with an integrated compass.
