Microsoft today released Internet Explorer 8 Multilingual User Interface (MUI) packs for Windows XP SP2/SP3 and Windows Server 2003 SP2.The Internet Explorer 8 MUI is a set of language-specific resource files that may be added to the English version of Windows with the OS MUI pack and Internet Explorer 8 installed. Users need to understand that the IE8 MUI packs are only collections of language-specific resource files that are set up to integrate exclusively with the English version of the browser. The Internet Explorer 8 MUI allow users to view the user interface (UI) in a different supported language. This also allows large corporations to roll out the same worldwide image by using a single install job.
If you have Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 and OS MUI pack installed, you need to install the English version of Internet Explorer 8 and then install the Internet Explorer 8 MUI pack for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. The IE8 MUI packs are designed to play nice with the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions of Windows XP SP2, Windows XP SP3, and Windows Server 2003 SP2.
