Computer users who know the importance of "Windows Registry", clean it by using an advanced registry cleaner, on regular basis. A registry cleaner is a software that scans and fixes all the errors in Windows registry, allowing the operating system to run smoothly. While the registry cleaning process ensures its safety, it might also result in corruption of Windows Registry, if not performed systematically. In such circumstances, the operating system becomes unbootable, resulting in inaccessibility of data saved in the attached hard drive. An easy and simple way to surmount such hazards is by restoring the data from an updated backup. However, if a computer user has not created a backup that can overcome such issues, then s/he needs to use an effective Hard Drive Recovery software to recover the lost hard drive data.

Consider a practical case, where you have a Seagate SATA hard drive loaded with Windows XP operating system. The drive contains critical information related to your business. You run a registry cleaner to clean your registry. The clean-up gets finished and you switch off your system. However, when you attempt to re-boot your system, it does not boot.

Cause:

The main cause for the system unbootable is deletion or corruption of some important Registry hives.

Resolution:

To resolve the above issue and to access the data saved in SATA hard drive, follow the below steps:

Insert Windows XP CD and use 'Recovery Console' to perform system repair. However, there is also a possibility that the CD does not recognize the SATA hard drive.

In such a case, you are not left with any option, but to format the SATA hard drive and reinstall Windows XP operating system.

The second resolution allows you to get over with the booting problem and enables you to save new data. But, the resolution also comes with a disadvantage of erasing all the data saved in SATA hard drive. For recovering the formatted data, you will need to use an advanced third-partyHard drive recovery tool , before saving anything or even before reinstalling the operating system. A Hard Drive Recovery tool is readily available on the Internet and can even be used by a non-technical user.

Stellar PhoenixWindows Data Recovery is an advanced utility that recovers lost, deleted, or inaccessible data from NTFS, NTFS5, FAT32, and FAT16 based drives.
