Some dates are great as a way of simply unwinding, relaxing and having fun with a woman you already know and are attracted to, almost like a stand by or a date to maintain status quo because that is pretty much what it is a date that isn't going to hurt or help you in anyway.

One of the best examples of this is miniature golf.   Unfortunately like so many of the other dates that fall into this category a lot of men attempt to take a first date to a place like this for that exact reason even though in no way does it help your cause.   As a first date, this isn't a really good idea because if she shows up to this that means she would have pretty much shown up to anything you had offered because she is either really attracted to you or had absolutely nothing better to do.   Yet, if she doesn't show up (which is highly likely) here you are by yourself at Miniature golf or even worse sitting at home alone thinking about how you got stood up again.   In other word, as far as first dates are concerned stay away from this type of activity as it doesn't help you or even benefit you in anyway.  

Now, for those of you who are dealing with women with whom you are either in that transitional phase or in a long term committed relationship with her, miniature golf is fine as long as you don't begin to pile up a lot of these types of dates back-to-back as maintaining status quo only works for so long before even that begins to get stale and boring.

In the end, this is the kind of date you go on when you really aren't trying to do anything more than be with a woman with whom you really like and know that she really likes you as well.
