Every living thing is meant to decay. In some parts of our body like the nails, skins, hair and even teeth, there is what we call "tooth decay". Way back in the early times, dentists deal with tooth decay by using forceps and lancet to extract the tooth. Anesthetics were not yet introduced that time. Imagine removing a tooth without anesthesia. It would surely be one painful experience for the patient.

Nowadays, tooth decay is not a problem anymore, especially in some states like in Orange County. A dentist in Orange County knows how to deal with this problem excellently. But for some of us who are on a tight budget, simple tooth decay is often set off in favor of work. Here are tips on how to deal with painful tooth decay:

*Always brush your teeth after eating a meal. It is the best prevention against tooth decay. *Do not drink too much soda or caffeinated drinks because it causes cavity that would eventually lead to tooth decay.

*Tooth decay is very painful. If you feel that you can no longer resist the pain, buy some pain killer pills.

*If the pain killers don't work, go to a dentist who knows all about tooth decay like a dentist in Orange Country who is always ready to deal with your tooth problem.

*Bad breath is one of the signs of tooth decay. If you have persistent bad breath, consult your dentist at once.

*Avoid acidic foods such as citrus fruits like orange, lemon, and grapefruit because they weaken the enamel that can eventually lead to tooth decay. It's best to drink water after eating citrus fruits.

*Chew a sugar-free gum after eating because it helps saliva stimulation in the mouth that reduces the risk of tooth decay.

* Gargle a fluoride-rich mouthwash before going to bed. It kills the bacteria and also strengthens the enamel.

*Have a regular dental check- up to avoid tooth decay. Take note that the best advice on teeth care still comes from the expert.

*Avoid eating sugary foods because glucose is the favorite food of bacteria, especially when it is stuck in a watery area, which is the mouth.
