After trying out all the harmful over-the-counter medications which can often times make your yeast infections worse, you might be begging for a home cure for yeast infection. There are plenty of home brewed concoctions that you can try out that are not only safe, but effective in treating your yeast infection so you can get on with your life! Here are a few:

1. Tea Tree Oil

this home cure for yeast infection can be found at your local supplement store. All you'll have to do is get a tampon and lubricate it with some K.Y. jelly or olive oil, then place a few drops of the tea tree oil on the tip of it. The reason for the K.Y. is to prevent the tea tree oil from getting absorbed into the tampon itself and ensure it gets to where it needs to go, the inside of your vagina. Insert this into your vagina and leave it in for a good while. You're not going to want to get any of the tea tree oil on your vulva as that can end up stinging.

2. Honey

Believe it or not, honey works to clear up the yeast infection symptoms. All you have to do is apply it to the outside of your vagina and let it sit for a while. Don't let any get inside though as honey contains sugar and sugar is yeast food. This is for external use only. For your external symptoms though this works great as a home cure for yeast infection.

3. Special Foods

There are certain foods you can start eating more of that work to inhibit the growth of fungus and thus get your yeast down to a manageable level. These foods include pineapple, onions, carrots, almonds, radishes, cabbage, pumpkin, papaya, sauerkraut, blackberries and lemon seeds. While these solutions are all great, they are not truly a home cure for yeast infection. Why do I say that? Because like over-the-counter medications, they only treat the symptoms. To really get to the root of the problem takes something with a little more kick.
