When you have worked as a leading agony aunt for a long time you know how to work out who is a good one and a bad one. Unfortunately a lot of people fall for scams or wanting to hear what sounds good instead of making sure they go to someone who is genuine and gets it right. Or they fall for this line about free advice, even if the advice is rubbish.
Because I am now retired I am unable to help people myself, but I do care and I do want to make sure that if you need an agony aunt you go to someone who can really help and who really cares.
I have looked through the many sites online and found most of them are set up by housewives who do it because they are bored or lonely or stuck at home, or it makes them feel important, rather than because they are actually qualified and expereinced! They may well care and want to help but they are out of their depth. Then you have the scammers who are just online to make some easy money because they have no real qualifications or expertise and it is the only thing they can think of. Many of them have lots of different sites about all different things.
But I am not happy to recommend you to these as they are either not genuine or out of their depth. I did find a site where the woman is genuine, and she is very experienced and really cares. And there is a lot of help on the site you can get free, you can also make friends there.
I recommend this site and unlike other leading agony aunts you can contact her direct, you do not have to make do with her staff.
