Learning About Bureaucracy and How it Stifles Free Markets

by L. Winslow

When you say free markets many people just do not understand what on Earth you are getting at and yet in our own Constitution we have the right to free contract and it is formally decreed that there taxation without representation is unacceptable. Yet over regulation becomes a burden and over all tax on society destroying all the efficiencies that are created from free markets and free enterprise in the fist place.

I believe a little reading should be demanded of our citizenry in high-school in order to teach not only the liberal Politically Correct Skew, but why our abundance in the US is so incredible and why the middle class exists here in the first place. I highly recommend reading Ayn Rand, who was a novelist and an economic philosopher type, speaking on capitalism VS socialism or communism.

Ayn Rand might also be worthy of mention, as to the issues of the mob mentality VS the industrialist, over achiever, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and how if you over burden them with rules, calling it social justice, then in the end they will stop being unable to turn a profit and quit and then everyone loses because the railroads stop, the factories stop, the power is turned off and all the businesses shut down and then you have breadlines.

Perhaps sometime in your life you might read; "Atlas Shrugged" or "Fountainhead" both are considered classics. You can buy the "Cliff's Notes" as both are 600 plus pages. It is a good contrast. "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams is also a classic, but you can rent the video and you will enjoy it and see why the bureaucracy can't do anything right. Think on this.

L. Winslow is an Economic Advisor to the Online Think Tank, a Futurist and retired entrepreneur http://www.worldthinktank.net . Currently he is planning a bicycle ride across the US to raise money for charity and is sponsored by http://www.Calling-Plans.com and all the proceeds will go to various charities who sign up.
