With a nicely cultivated email list, you can earn a good income. With a huge list of about 5,000 subscribers, you can make it easy on yourself to earn a nice income. I'm sure you've probably heard the phrase "the money is in the list", but if you're not making any money with your list yet, how do you expect to turn your list into income?

The trick is to make your list responsive. With a small conversion rate with a big list, you can really make alot of money. If you're not making any money with your list, then it's time to analyze what you are doing. The common conversion rate when leading people to your website is about 1-2%. So if you offer an opt-in email list, your conversion rates should be higher, right? Yes you're correct, but if you're not doing everything that you need to be doing in order to make your list profitable, you won't be in the profit zone.

There are some specific things that you can do to make your list profitable and this article will go over some of those ways for you. Here's the first thing that you can do to make your email list more profitable.

1) Build trust

One great way to build trust amongst your subscribers is to tell them a personal story about yourself. More than likely your subscribers have a story too, so if your story resonates enough with your list, you will be able to generate alot of response in terms of feedback from your list. You will start to notice that more people are emailing you with their experiences and questions because they trust you now. Telling a personal story doesn't have to be hard to do - it just has to be real and has to relate to what you're selling them. Here's another tip for making your list profitable.

2) Make your sales letter page good

It isn't enough to build trust amongst your subscribers if you're just going to send them to a so-so sales page. If you really want to close more visitors now, then you will want to have a sales letter page that is high rate. Make sure that you have a big red headline and that you have alot of bullet points on the page. Have a strong call to action and ask for the sale. This is essential part of the email marketing process so you have to be sure that you have a killer sales page to close your visitors.

The money is in the list and if you can do these two things mentioned here in this article, you will be good to go.

Good luck with making your email list profitable.
