The truth about sit ups and crunches are simple. They are a muscle shaper. Sit ups and crunches will not help you to lose belly fat. The only way to lose body fat is to allow your body to burn the fat away. You do this by dieting. When you are doing all those sit ups; you are building muscle and shaping muscles in your stomach. This is not a bad thing to do but understand this. What is the point of having nicely shaped abs only to have them covered up by your belly fat. So if you insist on doing sit ups then go for it. Just make sure you still use the right diet so you can see the results of all your hard work. Just understand it is not necessary to obtain a flat stomach.

Finding the right diet is very important. You must be careful because there are a lot of diets out there. Unfortunately there are several that may work at first but will not enable you to keep the weight off. The right diet will teach you what foods to eat. There are a lot of foods out there that will actually help you to burn body fat. Also the right diet will teach you when to eat certain foods. Learning when to eat foods will allow you to eat foods that normally a diet will not allow you to. This is how you are able to lose belly fat and more importantly keep it off.
