The New York Jets were Checker Boarded sm by the New England Patriots.  Checker Boarding sm is a term that applies to a loss when it is by a wide margin.  The Jets were defeated because the New England Patriots found the Jets weakest part of their game and then exploited it, over and over again.  Once that spot is proven to be so weak they move to other areas because they open up.  Momentum is a big factor in these losses.  The Jets are still a great team.  They need to do the same.

Think of football strategy as the finger in the dike theory.  If you are a football team and you have a successful play that has gained yards in a big way, use it again, and again, and again.  Be smart about its use.  Make it appear as though you are going in another direction and run it.  Change the formation and run it.  Just hit the weak spot or opening as often and as hard as possible.  You will see as Brady has that other areas open up then.  Then hit that area hard, again and again.  I called it the finger in the dike because the story of the boy that saved the town by putting a finger in the dike can work for only so long.  Eventually the pressure on the finger and that point of the dike will cause the enter dike to give in.  That is what happens to teams when they are exploited at their weakest point on a continual basis in a game.
