Tip #1 - Start your professions immediately

One of the many mistakes players will make is completely ignoring their chosen professions. While it may seem like it is delaying your leveling, practicing your professions can greatly benefit the otherwise tedious process. You character will profit from your professions, so weapons and other expensive items in the Auction House will easily become available to you.

Tip #2 - Use Thottbot

Thottbot is an extremely useful online tool for questing. Relying on quest descriptions and in-game advice can be extremely frustrating -- Thottbot provides detailed steps and coordinates that allow you to quickly complete quests and level much quicker than questing traditionally.

Tip #3 - Want to level fast? Create a Priest

Priests are the most uncommon class in World of Warcraft, so naturally they are in high demand for guilds and raid groups. While it is not as enjoyable as other classes, you'll level much faster as you'll rarely ever be turned down an instance/raid invitation.

Tip #4 - Auto-run

One of the most overlooked features in World of Warcraft is the auto-run shortcut. Many quests will require long distances to be covered, so when flying is not an option, make use of the auto-run feature. It is enabled (and disabled) by pressing the Num Lock key.

Tip #5 - Choose Horde

On almost all servers, the Alliance faction is over populated, thus making questing and grinding much more difficult. Horde generally has a balanced and mature population that are more than willing to help you -- don't let their intimidating appearance fool you!
