Mont Blanc fountain pens are available in a wide assortment of styles but if you've never used a fountain pen, you may find them rather difficult to write with at first. This is the precise reason that Mont Blanc developed and makes available an extensive selection of their unique roller ball pens. Pens that produce script that’s incredibly similar to fountain pen script but is as easy to use as any standard ball point pen.
New Developments in Online Marketing
Even so, you may be interested in knowing that the Mont Blanc Pen company has banned any of its affiliates from selling pens online. It's a result of the amount of counterfeiting that has been reported in recent years. Now this doesn't mean that you can't find and buy Mont Blanc Pens online any more. It just means that company sanctioned sources can no longer sell them online.
Another Thing to Be Aware of
Another thing to be on the lookout for online is Mont Blanc fountain pens that have been converted to ball point pens. While there is no problem with this as it pertains to the pens actual value. None the less, it will lead to two ball point pens having the same serial numbers if they came from a set, which can cause some confusion.
The Mont Blanc Meisterstuck Fountain Pen
The first fountain pen introduced under the Mont Blanc name is their Meisterstuck. I'm not quite sure but I do believe that this one pen is only available as a fountain pen. Even so there can be no doubt that if this is so, that some people have gone ahead and converted some to ball point pens.
Their Boheme Fountain Pen
Their site also lists their Boheme edition as being exclusively a fountain pen. It really is hard to believe that they would not issue this and the Meisterstuck in ball point or rollerball pens, but it does appear that this is the case. Of course there must be some sensible reason for this or they surly would have ball point and rollerball pens available in both of these styles.
The Mont Blanc Starwalker
Now the Mont Blanc Starwalker is a much more “modernesque” design and hence, is also listed as being available in ball point, rollerball and fountain pen styles. As far as design goes this particular pen is far more conservative than so many of their other models. It comes in a few choices of colored fine resin, with precious metal adornments but no jewels.
The Mont Blanc Special Limited Edition Series
Mont Blanc pens are also available in several limited edition series and most all of these series feature fountain pens, ball point and rollerball pens, as well as their mechanical pencils. Even so, it does take some time to research thoroughly to find out the exact details on all of their writing instrument series that are fully represented by all four styles.
