3 Tips For Fast Weight Loss - The Secret is to Mix Mental and Physical Strategies

You might have seen tips for fast weight loss before but the key to finding successful rapid weight loss lies in combining both mental and physical strategies. The problem in the past was that most people would set out to lose weight quickly by changing their diet and exercise but they would soon lose interest in their plan because they did nothing to change their limiting thinking.

Use these 3 tips for fast weight loss to get your mind and body working together for a slimmer you.

1. Jump Start your diet with this trick. If you have difficultly losing weight it might be because your body has become resistant (or insulin resistant). This is a condition common in people who are overweight and not as active as they should be. To reverse this and get your body primed for weight loss you must allow your body to become less dependent on carbohydrates for energy.

Here is how to do it: For the next two weeks do not eat carbohydrates after lunch. In other words your afternoon snack and evening meal will consist of only protein, good fats and vegetables. (talk with your doctor before changing your eating or exercise routine)

2. Exercise. Approach exercise with the mindset that you can always move more. No matter how active or inactive you think you are there is someone out there doing more and this means that if they can do more so can you. Increase your exercise in two ways, make your workouts more intense and/or add minutes. Your body might be tired for the first few days but it will adapt quickly and be thankful for the added boost.

3. Conquer your cravings. You can do everything right and then sabotage all you have been working for in a few moments of indulgence. The fact is your body doesn't need a ton of sugar to function so if you find yourself reaching for the sugary or carbo-loaded snack ask yourself why you want it. I like to have clients find the "hidden advantages" in their favorite snacks: does the food make you feel loved, do you use food as a reward or stress-reliever? By uncovering the "mental" pull the food has on you, then you conquer the physical "need" for the food.
