Why Home Reverse Osmosis Water Filtering Systems Are Ineffective and Potentially Harmful

The problem with reverse osmosis water filtering systems is that they are based on old technology and not primarily designed for humans. Despite the fact that they are the most expensive systems, they put your health at risk by not filtering out many of today's synthetic toxins.

Let's face it, why would you want to use a filter that was designed for industry and leaves you with demineralized or distilled water? This simply means that the good trace minerals like potassium and calcium are removed but these are essential in your water for good health.

A reverse osmosis water dispenser is unable to filter out the tiny synthetic chemicals like pesticides and prescription drugs because they are molecularly smaller than water. These can affect your long term health and well-being and with increasing amounts entering the system, it is vital to remove them effectively.

On top of this, these systems waste a phenomenal amount of water, discarding up to 80% of what they use resulting in a higher cost for you and damaging for the environment too.

The only type of filter today that is effective is a granular carbon one. Many sellers of the reverse osmosis water filtering systems try to get you to add on one of these to increase the removal rate but the truth is you don't need the first reverse osmosis part, only the carbon filter!

Two of the most harmful toxins are chlorine and lead and a reverse osmosis water dispenser is unable to remove enough of them to ensure your future health and well-being.

An activated carbon system can remove 99% of the chlorine, lead and other main contaminants. The main reason for this is because they don't only physically remove them, they can also chemically bind them to the surface of the filter.

To achieve 99% removal rates, look for a dual cartridge system with ion exchange and sub micron filtering. This will leave you with healthy and pure water with all the essential trace minerals left in.

With the increasing amount of toxins getting into the water supply, it makes sense to use the most effective system without paying through the nose for it.

There really is no place for the reverse osmosis water filtering systems in today's world when you have so much more effective and cheaper systems to choose from.
