One thing that always brings a smile to my face is the smell of some sweet treat cooking in the oven. However, it isn't really feasible to always have something baking, so I have found another way to bring that type of smell to the house whenever I need a little pick me up - scented jar candles.
Scented jar candles are available in a very wide variety of scents, but the only ones that I ever consider are those that smell like food. These "edible" scents vary from company to company, but I can always find a few that I like.
Village candle makes apple cobbler, banana nut bread, carmelized pear, cinnamon bun, cinnamon stick, creamy vanilla, lemon pound cake, mulled cider, pumpkin pie, spiced pumpkin, strawberry rhubarb pie, sugar cookie, sweet buttercream, warm apple pie, and far east spice scented jar candles. They also have a variety of fruity scents you can try.
Yankee Candle has an even wider range of scents available. In their Housewarmer scented jar candles collection they make delicious smelling scents such as berry jam, blueberry scone, boo-nilla (a Halloween candle that smells like vanilla cookies), café au lait, candy apple, chocolate cupcake, Christmas cookie, cider donut, crème brulee, cranberry chutney, frosted pumpkin, fudge ripple, gingerbread, and pumpkin pie.
Just with the examples available from the two companies mentioned above you can get a good idea of how popular these types of "edible" scented jar candles are. Even smaller candle companies make some scented jar candles with food scents, but you will have your best bet finding just the perfect scent for you with a larger company like those mentioned above since they have a wider variety of scents available.
If you find a scent that you like, you can even purchase scented jar candles wholesale to save a bit of money. Candlescented sells flavors like angel food cake, baked apple pie, blueberry muffin, carrot cake, gingerbread, lemon meringue, pumpkin pie, spiced cooked, spiced pear, and strawberry cheesecake scented jar candles on their website, and there are many other wholesale candle websites as well that you can choose from.
