Japan's Little League Baseball Champions put up a tremendously great game against the United States Warner-Robbins, Georgia Little League Team. The US kids won, but they had to fight to win, it was no easy game. Japan's stock market is coming back up and they have a tremendous civilization and lots of technology driving their economy. How do they do it?

Well, they do it quite a bit different than the United States as their society and civilization is much more authority based and structured. Still Japan even with their huge surpluses of cash reserves is not without their own growing crisis issues.

What do I mean by that? The aging issues and changing demographics are a huge challenge there, as Ken Dychwald's comments? This should concern the US also; it concerns me. You see, we also have an aging population here. Hopefully Japan can solve this problem and we can watch how they do it as a case study and analyze what will work for us, as if they can solve the problem in Japan, then Europe is next with their aging populations, then the US right after them and this aging demographic switch takes place.

GDP and population growth curves seem to hold some weight in the reality of Nation's economies, but we really cannot keep this World population rate increase and as more people enter the middle class the amount of waste to keep them all there and the demand will over tax all Earth's eco-systems. Scared yet - we all should be, the crisis is real.

The total population in Japan is also quite high, but they are managing it, they have the occasional Earthquake disruption, but their civilization always recovers. Hopefully the tectonic plate cracking issues will not come in the next 100,000 years or we could see the modern version of the sinking of Atlantis. I mean they are not only in the Ring of Fire - they are dead center on a hot spot. I feel the Kuril Islands are in for an 8.0 or greater, so the dispute between Russia and Japan could soon be irrelevant.

Japan and the Japanese people are nothing short of miraculous and resilient and seem to be able to over come any obstacle. Japan has made quite an economic come back indeed, well done, still not without challenges, but not bad at all. I am impressed with Japan's civilization in many regards, their ingenuity and structured society. Taking that to a more traditionally Western Society might be difficult, but many building our cities of the future should take note. I believe that Space Colonies of Japan may prove quite good, due to their Earthly accomplishments.

Japan could have a Technological Revolution in coming years and some Futurists who predict this admit that they kind of already do, lately have floundered in the robotic arena (upsetting corporate setbacks with the Asimo robot programs), but that will come back, along with the Nikki that has now turned around.

Indeed, I have a friend from Japan, he was a school teacher there. Nice guy and I have read up on MIT Media Lab and the joint projects with Japanese, and followed their space program. Recently, read a book on Japanese Society that was quite interesting and take Japan Today Online. It is good to have such strong allies in the First World and studying the Japanese system makes a lot of sense, in fact we could all learn a lot more from each other.
