It is impossible for everyone to maintain their personal information hidden and private from all other people. Identity theft is becoming a serious crime in the society, and simple tips given here will surely help everyone to prevent it.

Protect the credit card details with the passwords and alter the passwords or PIN regularly. Select a password that is unique, different, and something new that cannot be identified by others. Don’t choose mother’s maiden name as the password because this is already printed on the credit card and hackers can easily judge it. While filling out any form, take extra care to fill the personal information properly. One should not fill their bank account and credit card details on any form. One should not give their credit card or account number to any person on the phone and also, all the credit card application should be properly disposed. Always check the credit card report and the billing statements every month for any deceitful charges and report any such activities immediately. Never open or click any email that force to validate or change the username or password of the bank account or credit card details.

Check the information of credit card report carefully, and report if any personal information is altered or removed. All the forms including loan application should be properly tear before throwing them to trash. Protect the personal computer with password and also, restrict the access to all others. Permit access to the computer and to the files on the computer only on the request of a person. Use reliable password protection software and install firewall on the system to protect it from hackers. Keep the personal system updated with the latest version of operating system and fix any security issues.

Protect all the financial and the customer information on the personal or business website with proper authentication and encryption services. Modify all the browser setting to improve protection and delete all the Internet history and information regularly. Finally, a good solution to prevent is the awareness about identity theft.
