Learn How to Print Screen on a Mac in the Easy Way?

Print Screen is a very valuable function in any operating system. Many times we find ourselves in the need for printing the computer screen we are working on.
Taking a print screen shot on a windows based computer is relatively very easy as there is a dedicated key for serving this purpose on keyboards of windows based computers. But people who are new to using a Mac operating system find themselves in a dilemma as to how to print screen on a Mac as there is no such print screen key on Mac based keyboards. However, taking a screen shot of the computer screen is not that difficult on Mac based systems as well. Here are the steps you need to follow:
In case you need a screen shot of the whole screen. Go to the screen that you want a screen shot of. Now look for a special key on your keyboard. There would be a key "⌘". This key is also sometimes known as Flower key or Function key or even Apple key. Press Apple key + Shift + 3 for a few seconds. You will hear a clicking sound after which you can release the keys. Now click on the screen with your mouse and you are done. You have learnt how to print screen on a Mac.
Now in case you need the screen shot of just a small portion of your screen. Press and release the Apple key + Shift + 4 after a couple of seconds. This time your mouse cursor will change its shape and will turn into a + sign. With this + sign select that portion of the computer screen of which you want to take the snapshot. After the selection is complete you will find that a picture file is generated onto your desktop and that file is your required screen shot.
Many times we just need the print screen of a particular application window we are working on. In that case just hold and release Apple key + Shift + 4 after a couple of seconds. Now as expected the mouse cursor will change into a + sign. After this press the spacebar key once. Now the mouse cursor will turn into a camera sign. Now with that camera click on the application window and your screen shot is generated. Follow these steps to learn how to print screen on a Mac in the easy way.
