Now, have you prepared to purchase a notebook? Or you have already had one but have difficulties in keeping the notebook battery in good  condition? Then, in this article, we will take a look at on how to make your notebook battery hold a full charge to the best. And as a matter of fact, if looked after carefully, most notebook batteries will stay in condition for around 1000 charge cycles. Why? Some reasons for this will be listed below.

First of all, you have to find out the type of the battery that comes with your notebook. Today, there are usually four main types. The Nickel Cadmium is the oldest one. It is also known as the NiCd or NiCad. The other three types are the Lithium Ion (Li-Ion), the Lithium Polymer (Li-po), and the Nickel Metal Hydride. And due to that the Lithium Polymer notebook offers the best power to weight ratio, it is becoming more and more popular.

How long a notebook battery can successfully hold a charge? This is determined by many factors, including the age of the battery itself, the condition the battery is in, and what kind of programs the notebook user is running. When the batteries get older, they will gradually lose their charge. This phenomenon is called memory degradation. Then how to make full use of your laptop battery?  Below are a few steps listed.

Please do not run any external devices when your notebook is not plugged in. The reason for this is that most external devices are mechanical devices, they will chew through your notebook battery really fast.

If your notebook battery is a nickel metal hydride type or a nickel cadmium type, then it will experience memory degradation over time. In order to lessen this degradation, you'd better make sure that you run the battery down to empty each time and make sure that you fully recharge the it each time you recharge it.

Above introduction of some steps will help you keep your notebook battery in prime condition. Follow them.
