Where To Find A Guided Meditation by Trevor John

A guided meditation is probably one of the easiest ways to start meditating.

Someone else guides you through exactly what to do.

Sometimes the guided meditation can be with a group of other people, such as in a yoga class or at a seminar or workshop.

Other times, the guided meditation could be one that you decide to read out loud and record on your computer for playback later. This method can be especially helpful if you have something that you wish to address and can't easily find a pre-recorded session to help. All you need to do is carefully word your script, likely by basing it on some of the scripts available on the internet, and then record it. If you choose this method, be careful with what you write and then read. Our subconscious mind takes things very literally, so be sure to double and triple check for any ambiguities.

The method many people across the world choose for guided meditation is to use a pre-recorded meditation. There are plenty available to cover things like general relaxation, health and healing your body.

If possible, get hold of a sample first. Different people react to the various voices available and you may find that certain voices are more relaxing than others.

Then check out the credentials of the person offering the track. See how long they've been meditating for. Check where they've studied. If there are testimonials from other people on their site, check these out as well.

After that, it's simply a matter of setting aside some time when you won't be disturbed and listening to your newly purchased guided meditation track.
