Always wear comfortable clothing, and sit in the comfortable position so that there is no strain on your back or neck. Avoid lying down as you might drift off to sleep. Make sure that you sit with your spine straight.

While practicing meditation relaxation technique, do not worry about distracting thoughts, and do not try to fight with them. Instead, just choose a point of focus, and turn your attention to it.
