Although scarce in comparison to the same illness in woman, several drugs are regularly recommended by doctors to treat yeast infection in man. Though handing out prescriptions has become a general practice in medicine, it still strike me odd that these drugs have become a forerunner in the treatment of the ill, seeing as it was not that long ago we were practically brainwashed to refuse all sorts of drugs.

Even back when I was a child, local TV station routinely aired cartoons acting as public service announcements, advocating kids to “Just say no” to drugs. That seemed to be the one clear message that has been around for as long as I can remember. Whether in a commercial, painted on a building or coming from the mouth of teachers, politicians, athletes, and any other public figure trying make a good impression and educate the masses, saying no to drugs seemed to be the common theme.

This message has stuck with me, and not because I had seen it everywhere, or that it made a good point, but because in reality we do not need drugs to enjoy a healthy life. But somewhere along the lines prescription medication has become the forerunner in treatment of many ailments including yeast infection in man. Sadly, even if drugs are prescribed by a reputable doctor, they do still carry the risk of exposing their users to dangers. From ineffectiveness or leading to serious recurring or even permanent damage, one must be vary careful of any drug they choose to put into their body, regardless of who it is that is pushing it on them. This is true especially when speaking of yeast infection in man.

A prime example is a drug recommended for penile yeast infections. Though it may possibly eliminate infection symptoms in man, it just as easily may aggravate the symptoms and turn a minor problem into a very severe nfection in man. Some drugs many clear up all yeast infection symptoms in man, but fall short of actually ridding the infected of the penile infection, only to have the yeast infection symptoms surface again in the future. Basically, the medication only serves as temporary relief, and once that relief ends, the infection symptoms come back with a vengeance. This is what is known as recurring infection and could very likely lead to a severe yeast infection in a matter of time.

And the worst part of this scenario is that the drugs will not be recognized as the culprit, but instead the sure, falsely leading the victim to purchase more and more medication to fight the yeast infection, when in reality he is probably only feeding it and doing more damage to his body.

The three “R” ’s (Risk, reliance, and temporary results) are the reasons you should say no to drugs, including those prescribed to fight these infections in men. That old message still makes a valiant point, one that should be remembered at all times, especially when choosing a cure for yeast infections in man.
