LG KG225 Mobile Phone Review by Mark Hirst

The LG KG225 was launched in April 2006 as an ideal Easter offering for millions of fans of the LG stylish lines. The KG225 is an clamshell at the entry level. Its extremely lightweight, one might even say featherweight is a insignificant 70 grams. The styling is both refined and appealing with a high gloss black exterior containing a glittery effect in the light.

The LG KG225 has the basic camera for use when the phone is open. You can transmit photos to phonebook contacts to share the photo of a friend while calling. The display screen is low resolution but still adequate for light usage. There is a good quality polyphonic 40-voice ring tones and Java games which can be downloaded through the phone's WAP connection.

A small memory and connectivity through the PC serial port allows you to transfer images from the mobile phone to your personal computer or similar device. The battery is a Li-Ion standard with the battery life ranked at up to 200 hours of standby time.

The primary plus factor for the LG KG225 is that it's very inexpensive. It's a good phone for a first-time mobile phone owner and is so lightweight that it can be easily tucked into a pocket or handbag for great portability. Of course, the classy appearance is a great selling point as well.

The LG KG225 uses tri-band network of GSM 900, GSM 1800, or GSM 1900 for maximum efficiency. It measures 84.5 mm by 45 mm by 22.2 mm. The display is CSTN with 65K colours and a size of 128 pixels by 128 pixels.

Polyphonic 40 channel ringtones are incorporated, you can order additional customization features, and vibration mode is available.

A very adequate phonebook allows up to 500 entries and includes photocall . Records of 20 dialed calls, 10 received calls and 10 missed calls are standard, as GPRS.

Messaging is available via MMS, EMS, and SMS and the browser is a WAP 2.0/xHTML

Additional features include a calculator, up to ten voice memos, world time, and a unit converter.
