Pink Samsung U600 - The X-Factor Mobile Phone by Susan Hargreaves

The X-Factor draws record numbers of viewers every Saturday evening tuning in to see the best and worst of what the UK has to offer in singers and performers.

This year the program is sponsored by The Carphone Warehouse who run adverts throughout the evening showcasing a range of handsets that they are promoting as having the X-Factor.

The hosts of the hit show have not escaped these adverts and are turned into animated mobile phones complete with comedy hair and faces, particularly amusing is Simon Cowell's phone character who dons the extra high belt line that the man became infamous for last season.

This years X-Factor phone line up includes the latest in mobile technology and fashion, showcasing the new Samsung G600 with an industry leading 5 megapixel camera and a new fashion phone that young women are swooning over - the Pink Samsung U600.

This new model offers everything that the rest of the range offers right down to the dimensions and features, but unlike the others it is housed in a pink casing aimed solely at the female market.

The handset only measures 10.9mm thick and is part of the Samsung Ultra 10.9 range, it is a slide phone that protects the keypad from the elements until the screen is opened which reveals a sleek metal keypad.

The U600 features a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and zoom plus support for video recording and playback. Pictures and video clips can be viewed on the 2.2 inch LCD widescreen which compliments the highest quality pictures. Users can then either store their work on the internal memory that can be expanded with the use of MicroSD cards or sent to friends and family members via bluetooth, SMS or email.

On the front of the phone within the screen area there are two touch sensitive keys that need a simple tap to enter and navigate the menu system, between these keys there is also a multi directional dial key that provides shortcuts to user designated menu functions such as calendar, messages, camera and contacts.

The U600 Pink is a Quad band mobile phone that can be used worldwide on all frequencies, the handset simply selects the strongest signal an any foreign area and logs on to that network operator. Other connectivity technology includes GPRS and EDGE for fast data transfer of internet pages and files and makes quick work of downloading new mobile content such as ringtones, games and new themes.

Also present is Bluetooth technology allowing for wireless connections to multiple devices such as TVs, printers and laptops plus of course other compatible mobile phones for quick, wirefree data transfer of music files, pictures, video clips and applications.

Another feature of the U600 is an MP3 Player that has the option to create playlists, users can upload from PC or download from the mobile internet new music tracks or complete albums to then arrange into playlists to suit their listening mood.

The phone can also be connected to a PC using a USB cable for uploading and backing up personal data such as phonebook entries and calendar dates, this also means that users can transfer music files direct from their PC.

It is no surprise that this very sophisticated fashion phone has been selected by The Carphone Warehouse to feature as an X-Factor phone, it is sleek, slim and yet full of the latest mobile technology giving it a real edge over other fashion phone models.

The Pink Samsung U600 and Samsung G600 are just two of many new Samsung mobile phones to be released this year. If you would like further information please feel free to visit our mobile phones shop.
