Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Rihanna has announced details of UK arena tour next year 2010.

Rihanna has announced details of a UK arena tour next year. The singer will play eight gigs on the tour, which kicks off in Birmingham on May 7 and includes

a show at the London O2 Arena on May 10. The Grammy Award-winning R&B singer will appear at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on Monday, May 17, next year.

The string of 8 dates will begin in Birmingham on 7 May before concluding in Glasgow. Rihanna, who recently released her fourth studio album, Rated R, is one of the world's brightest young stars.

Rihanna was born February 20, 1988, On the Caribbean island of Barbados, as Robyn Rihanna Fenty. Rihanna was the first of three children to Ronald and Monica Fenty. At the age of 15, Rihanna received her big break when one of her friends introduced her to music producer Evan Rogers, who was vacationing in Barbados with his Barbadian wife, Jackie. Rogers, along with his partner Carl Sturken, helped Rihanna record material in the U.S which was sent to various recording companies.

The 21-year-old singer launched her latest album Rated R with a gig in Brixton, London last month where she was joined on stage by Jay-Z.
