Every day my inbox is bombarded by network marketers trying to get me to join their opportunity. They mainly waste their time raving about how fantastic their product is.
So is your product the main attraction to your business?
Well, just to be confusing, the answer is Yes and No!
Lets begin with the "Yes" portion. In my company 75% of our associates were product consumers before they joined us to become associates. I have an inkling that most of them became associates so they could get the product at a discount. Which I suppose is fair enough, as they were already using they product from day to day. Many never joined the company with any intention to GROW a business. When you put time and effort into getting new associates, you want them to be business builders.
Now lets turn to the "NO" portion. Your product will never be as important as the value you bring to the business and the unique system you have in place. Prospects must be able to see themselves working in your business first and foremost. They may grow to enjoy your products. But initially, they join because they can see themselves succeeding in your business.
So what is left to consider is: Have you put a system in place? This question is not referring to the old MLM tactics - like hotel meetings, purchasing expensive leads, etc. I am referring to a unique, cutting edge system that takes advantage of the power of the internet to market both your business opportunity and product.
Once my team and I got our heads around this idea, we brainstormed together and developed a system that anyone can easily implement and begin generating their own leads for not only the product, but their entire business. Our business is growing faster than we had ever imagined, and believe it or not, we're working less!

I can still recall the first day i joined my company. I was over-joyed at receiving my very own web site with the business kit that was provided me. It enabled me to see visitors coming from various sites such as Google, Yahoo and MSN, and more importantly, see them purchase lots of products! It became easy for people interested in a business to find me through a Google search and sign up under me.
