If you can't recruit, you won't be in business long. Or worse, you'll be in business for a long time wasting your time, money, and effort. There are 3 major things that kill a person's ability to recruit.
3 Deadly Recruiting Sins
1) Talking to Uninterested People - There is nothing that will burn you out of this business faster than calling people who aren't interested. If you purchase leads, spend enough money to get leads that are really interested. If you're calling your names list, be sure to ask people if they would like to know more. The sooner uninterested people tell you 'No', the faster you can move on to someone who IS interested. I prefer to create my own leads. I do it mainly through article marketing, because I personally don't want to talk to ANYONE who's not really interested.
2) Not Asking Prospects to Take Action -When someone shows interest it's up to you to tell them what to do. Your prospect usually doesn't even know what questions to ask. It's up to you to tell them what the next step is. So say something like this. "Bob, if I were willing to show you how you can make $3,000 a month from home, would you be willing to invest about 15 minutes getting some more information at my website"? That's called making an offer. Offer your prospect something they want, and invite them to educate themselves about how they can get it.
3) Not Having a System -Your prospects usually have 1 question that they won't ever ask you, and that question is "Can I really do this". You need a simple way of showing your business that your prospect can do to. When I send people to my website, I'll say something like "Bob, if you can hand out a website and a phone number, then you can do this". So in this example, my system would be to get people to a website, and then to a conference call. Anybody can do that. Anybody can teach other people how to do that.
