How Network Marketers Reach The Point of Leveraged Income by Jacob Adelman

My last article was about the stages of Leveraged or Residual Income. Now, we will begin to explore how you get there.

In order to advance through the stages of Leveraged (Residual) income, a network marketer must be patient, aggressive, and persistent at the same time. Some of the recruits that tell you no in the beginning will come around later. But your recruiting must be consistent.

Your chances of surviving and advancing through the stages in your mlm business by recruiting your family and friends are slim and none, and slim is on vacation. Your chances of surviving and advancing through the stages by recruiting everyone within three feet of you are slim and none, and slim is dead.

Your chances of survival and advancing throughout the stages recruiting by purchasing leads is impossible. Purchasing leads from Lead Companies is the worst thing you can do for your business for various reasons. When you buy leads, you get a No return policy. You have no idea what list you are getting. You have no idea how many times the list was sold. The list is not your target market. You get addicted and think things like “It is a numbers game, and eventually I will get lucky”. Your lead provider becomes the center of your business. And, if you actually get lucky and sign someone on to your business, buying leads is not, repeat not duplicable. Can your new downline member afford to buy leads? This is a true path to failure. The only people that win are your upline that earns money from you for several months, and the Lead Company.

If you continue to buy leads, recruit your family, friends, and everyone within three feet, you will be walking down a path disoriented about where to go next.

Now that I told you how not to do it, I bet you are wondering how do you actually do it the right way. Well, the right way is by generating targeted leads yourself. You generate them. They are your leads and no one else's. How do you generate these leads for your mlm business? By advertising and marketing your business on the internet. There are one billion people on the internet. 11,000 home based businesses are started each day in the United States, and more across the world. With the internet, your business is global.

Use the internet by having a Landing page for your network marketeing business with a database and an autoresponder. These leads are captured in your database and there for you to followup and close the deal. How do you close the deal. By telling them that you will teach them everything you know about marketing their business on the internet.

There are many strategies and methods for marketing your business. Some of them are free, some are not. Both categories work very effectively, so don't discount the free methods. The free methods generally take more of your time to develop, but they work just as well. Strategies such as Pay per Click Advertising and Newsletter Advertising are paid advertising. Strategies such as Article Marketing, Newsletter Marketing, and Blogging are free of charge other than your time involved.

Remember, advancing through the stages of leveraged, residual, income takes time. Usually between 12 and 18 months of time, effort, and hard work. But the benefits afterwards are so rewarding that you will look back and realize that every second of your time was well worth it.
