Should Malaysian Malay Women Today Equip Themselves With Some Personal Safety Weapon?

by Saidul A Shaari

Personally, my answer is a big YES! We all have heard and seen much (rape, sexual assaults & crimes) on TV and in the local newspapers. That is only what has been reported! What about those that never did or cases where the victims are too traumatized or embarrassed to report their cases to the authorities?

If you have been following my blog ever since day One, you would know that our local NGOs (Non-Government Organization) have indicated that the number of sexual crimes in Malaysia is rising at an alarming rate in Malaysia! You would also know that there are some sick Malaysians out there, those that look innocent and decent but they are actually sexual perverts on the prowl! Feel free to read my previous postings that are related with the subject in hand.

Please consider my post today as a Malaysian public service posting. Please do not sensationalize my posting today for I’m not seeking any. I’m not trying to create any unnecessary panic or chaos among Malaysians either. But sometimes, we have to do what we have to do as Malaysians, which is to help and remind each other.

To all Malaysian Malay women (wanita Melayu) especially those that are young and spunky, please get some Personal Safety weapons for your own self-protection. The least you should have with you every day is a Pepper Spray. You can easily purchase that from any major pharmacies in Malaysia. Malaysian Malay parents who are reading this today should seriously consider buying your kids Pepper Sprays too. Better safe than sorry, as the saying goes
