Who Else Wants to Know How to Spot a Gifted or Talented Kid? by David W Richards

Some parents claim that their children are gifted or talented. They talk about how great their kids are, how smart they are. They describe all the pluses of their beloved daughter or son. He/she can do this and that.

But hey, seems like your kids can do the same thing as well. Are they also as talented? You might wonder.

How is it to spot a gifted or talented kid?

Your kids might be talented if:

• They show great and quite early development in linguistics. They can speak before they are one year old. And the development of their vocabulary is amazing for their age.

• They have such a huge curiosity over anything. They ask a lot and won’t be satisfied with only simple answers.

• They enjoy puzzles, mazes, and numbers more than just other toys. Their preference is mostly educational toys.

• They have extraordinary memory. They remember mostly anything that you might have forgotten.

• They enjoy learning anything. And, they have a great speed in learning. You don’t have to ask them to study or do their homework, they would have done it by the time you ask them.

• They have such a high energy level. They don’t get tired easily. They would keep moving.

• They show interest in a particular matter. For example, math. They don’t only get great grades but also enjoy doing it. Or, they ask for a certain kind of musical instrument even before they can read and easily master it.

Those are some examples of how talented or gifted children are. If your kids show the same behavior it would be better if you don’t neglect it.

As parents, you should be able to help your children manage their talent or gift. Yet, after you find it out, don’t push them either.

Also, never push them to do something they don’t like. It’s better if you let them choose to master what they like doing.
