There are many different ways to apply scent, and some choose to use perfume oil for this purpose. This is something that not everyone uses because it can be stronger than the traditional means of misting perfume on the skin, but it can be great when you know you want something to last all day and it would be next to impossible for you to reapply at any time during that period. Not all types will be available this way though, so you may find your options are limited.
If you have a perfume brand that you love, you may not be able to find that brand name in the form of a perfume oil. You can search and you may get lucky, but then again, you may not. Instead, you may want to find a scent that you can use for these times. You should think of something simple like vanilla or jasmine. They should be rather easy to find in the form of perfume oil. The basics scents are the ones that are most common, though there are some mixes out there as well.
Because perfume oil works for a long period of time, you can expect it might be rather strong at first. You dont want to dab it on and then run out the door. Put it on while getting ready so the odor has some time to abate a little before you walk near others. Some dont mind the strong smell, but it might give others a headache. Not all perfume oil is that strong however, so you can look for something that might be more subtle if you wish. The type of scent you choose will make all of the difference as well. If you choose patchouli oil, use sparingly. It is a strong scent that many dont like to inhale.
Just remember to think about where you are going before you apply perfume oil. If you are going to a public event that might be dusty or even sandy, you may find the dust is attracted to the oil on your skin. This might mean you have to wipe off the area where you applied the perfume oil. Instead, make sure you apply it where the skin is not showing. That will eliminate the embarrassment of the oil attracting and dust and having a dirty spot where you applied. It wont happen often, but it can happen, so be mindful of that when you apply it to go out for the day.
