Some couplings are just meant to be: peanut butter and jelly, yin and yang, Mork and Mindy, and of course my absolute favorite man (or woman) and dog. Don’t get me wrong, cats do make pretty cool pets sometimes, but dogs are way better, in almost every way and I'll even bet my poker chip set on it. Not convinced yet? Dogs perform valuable work for humans. There are seeing-eye dogs, police dogs, military dogs and more. Cats would much rather enjoy you suffering a meager existence than help a blind person cross the street. Dogs will protect their owners. You’ll never feel insecure or afraid with your best friend by your side. Your whole home could be taken hostage and a cat wouldn’t even stir from it’s midmorning nap Dogs are much more trusting and affectionate. Cats will always love themselves more than you. Dogs come in way more colors, sizes and varieties than cats. On the whole all cats look basically the same. Dogs make great exercise companions because they require regular walks (or runs), which means you have to extract yourself from the couch every evening for at least a few minutes. This is a good thing, whether you enjoy exercise or not. Dogs can learn cool tricks like rolling over, speaking on command and shaking hands. Their entertainment level is at least ten times that of a lousy, boring cat. Dogs are much smarter than cats. You know it’s true. Dog spelt backwards is god, enough said. About the Author:
