2 – Roll up a newspaper and hit it on your palm, the noise made will generally work to calm the dog, however, this method only works with puppies.
3 – Be firm and say "NO" to your dog when you want him to control barking, however, do not yell at him. If he stops at your command reward his good behavior with a treat or by simply saying "good dog", so that he knows that this is the behavior that is expected of him.
