For your plants to get the maximum amount of sunlight during the day, you need to put your plants in a sunny area of your garden. Forget about hiding your dendrobiums in a shady corner. Hiding your plant in a shady and cool corner is an absolute no-no when it comes to dendrobium orchid care.
Aside from giving your plant plenty of sunlight, you need to make sure that you plants get enough air. Good air movement is essential to proper dendrobium orchid care. Moving air helps keep the molds away from your plants. Remember that molds can kill your orchids and may contaminate the air in your garden. If in case your plants do get molds, do not let the molds stay around your plants for long. Remove the molds by washing your plants with mild soap and water. Do not worry, unlike most types of plants, dendrobium orchids are tolerate to mild soaps so there is no danger of killing your orchids by using soap to wash off the molds. Just make sure that you rinse your orchids well to remove all the soap to avoid irritating your plants.
