First Month Pregnancy Symptoms, Deadly?

by Karen Xavier

It is a known natural law that every woman's body will not react similarly to pregnancy and not all women will go through the same type of symptoms. For most women , especially those who are about to have their first child, they begin to get worried if they do not experience what is often considered to be the first month pregnancy symptoms and signs. This fear is borne from the fact that most women are not clear on what exactly constitutes normal symptoms during the first month of pregnancy

Frequent urination as a result of the hormone human gonadotrophin hormone (HCG) being release in the bloodstream, is the first indication that pregnancy is at your door step. Pregnancy symptoms may not become obvious until about 14-15 days after conception. This is because the HCG hormone usually starts of very low and gradually increases in concentration after about 14 days. Until then the woman may not experience noticeable symptoms and that alone lends to the worry that women experience when they think they should be experiencing first month pregnancy symptoms.

While the above statement may be true in many women, it is often not the case when twins or more are present. If a woman is expected to have twins or more, first month pregnancy symptoms will occur earlier as the level of HCG in the blood stream will be significantly higher.

At the end of the first month or there about, blood flow increases by roughly 55% in a woman's body - this has various effects. The added blood flow in the skin can lead to frequent nose bleeds and bleeding gums. The pregnant woman feels warmer, and sweats more in her hands and feet. Metabolism may also be elevated, causing body heat to rise even further; this is the fundamental reason why pregnancy is usually accompanied by a rise in basal body temperature.

Dizziness and fainting are among the best visible signs of early pregnancy. This again is as a result of the hormones present in the body. HGC and Progesterone combined a usually the cause of this symptoms. Progesterone in the blood will cause vessels to dilate and relax and may cause a deep in the blood pressure which will cause the dizziness and fainting.

Some woman first month pregnancy symptoms will include frequent headaches cause by hormonal changes and increase in the blood volume. However, pregnancy can cause stress on the mind and on the physical body and tension headache cause by this, is often seen as a culprit.

Finally, some very unusual indicators forms part of what is often seen as first month pregnancy symptom. Food Cravings and aversion, are often associated with early signs of pregnancy. A pregnant woman may find that foods which she enjoyed before she can stand to see , much less smell. Conversely she maybe craving for other foods that she do not usually eat. This may go on for the entire pregnancy period. Coupled with that may be the formerly smells that were once pleasant may now be unacceptable and annoying to her.
