Part and parcel! If our legislators can not pass the NAFTA Highway bill as one piece of legislation they will simply divided in small pieces, stick those pieces in unrelated bills and get it to pass!
Where is the news media on this one? Why are there only a handful of Representatives such as Rep Virgil Goode (R) of Virginia speaking out and offering the obvious drawbacks to our security?
What are we inviting by having containers loaded onto trucks at a Mexico port coming from China without tariffs and have not been inspected, traveling across Mexico, through Texas up through Kansas and on to Canada by passing these pieces of legislation?
If security of this country is paramount why would we want trucks delivering goods that have not been inspected at the port of entry to enter the United States?
Simply put, big business!
Can we spell "nuclear weapons?"
Why not just build a metro system similar to the one that serves Washington, DC to bring in more illegals?
Think the fence we are working on now is long? How about a parallel fence 500 miles apart going right up through the center of the country?
We can not have it both ways. Either we have a concern about nuclear weapons, terrorist attacks, increased drug traffic and illegals or we do not.
This time it is not too late to get our head out of the sand and write, call, email the Congressmen and Representatives in your districts to vote against the upcoming RES 40 that is still in committee.
Take time out of your busy lives to think of the future of your children and grandchildren.
If we don't stand for something, we stand for nothing.
