The other day I was talking to a friend about the last wish or request of Jesus before He Ascended to Heaven, as we find it in Mathew 28:19 - 20. "Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen." I was saying to him that I have an uneasy feeling that those who fail to observe Jesus' last Request, may be liable for a delay in His second Coming before the end of the world! What a huge responsibility!
Have you ever begun to think of the possibility that you, through YOUR disobedience to Jesus, can be held responsible for a delay in His second coming? It is a sickening thought! Most of us tend to let somebody else do the work. Must this somebody else, be the Parson or the Priest? Certainly not! Remember that He said that He will not come again until the Gospel of the Kingdom is known to the ends of the world:(Mat 24:14) "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all nations. And then the end shall come." Everybody must take this last request of His as a direct order to each and everybody!
Do you want to know why? Of His last words on the cross was: "... Father, in thy hands I commend my Spirit." (Luk 23:46). The word 'commend' in the original language means "to place into trust for safe keeping". On the 1st day of January 2006, I truly had the following Revelation from The Holy Ghost when I asked Him to please reveal to me, why He had said this? The Answer came clearly: "Remember, I was about to go down to Hell to take away the keys of death from satan, and I did not want to contaminate the Holy Spirit". He thus decided to rather hand the Spirit over to God the Father, to protect It and to keep It safe. Imagine the absolute purity of this the Holiest of Spirits. And the BEST part is that He left this Pure Devine Spirit to us humans to Protect, Teach and Comfort us! If one looks at the Scripture again more closely, one will see that this was much more than a request or a wish. It was a Prayer, seeing the way He ended it with "Amen".
Because Jesus meant every word He said, we are to take a closer look at what He said. In laymen's language it means that; even if the world does not come to terms with His "conditions", and that He cannot fulfil His Prophesy before the end of the world, we are not to panic, as His Spirit will be with us until the end of the world. He ended this request, as in a prayer, with "Amen", meaning: "So be it"! I would like to urge and beg of everybody to work together to spread the Gospel, in the Spirit of Truth. If everyone just tells one person to once again tell one person of this Holy request, one can only just start to imagine how the News will spread - like wildfire!
It is our duty - a Duty to ALL of us to make sure we teach people about the Holy Spirit. Pray for your listeners to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to enable them to fully grasp the Good News and to welcome the Spirit of Truth in their lives, forever. Then; one swallow CAN make a summer! And what a Most Wonderful Summer it will turn out to be!
