Develop the Passion by Justin Lukasavige

In Dr. Henry Cloud's newest book, Integrity, he discusses the issue of becoming passionate about a struggle, instead of simply using shear willpower to overcome it.

Take the struggle to become debt-free for instance. If you simply try to use willpower to curb your spending and cut your expenses, you may become debt-free, but not nearly as fast as you could otherwise. I meet with a lot of people each week, and I find the clients that get out of debt the fastest are the ones that have a purpose and intensity in their life towards becoming debt-free.

If willpower is your only means of becoming debt free, you will lose nearly every time. Willpower cannot compete with the desires of your heart, or rather, your passion. If you really want to become debt-free, you need to make that your passion in life. Get really fired-up about it and make something happen!

"Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion." - Hebbel

I get a lot of calls and emails from people that want to be debt-free, but then I never hear from them again. I don't doubt that they want to change their lives, but they aren't passionate about it. If you really want to make something happen in your life, go out and do it! You can't wait for it to happen to you.

If you desire a change, that change can only begin... with you! Is it time?

Develop a Plan. Become Passionate. Make it Happen!
